Backgound
Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools (FTS) is an official organization that develops and manages innovative systems for the construction, refurbishment, and maintenance of schools in Malta. Its goal is to make “Today's Schools” into “Tomorrow's Schools” in line with the guiding principles of the National Curriculum requirements. It plans to build and refurbish around 200 schools in Malta.

 

Mosta Secondary School is one of the recently built schools that need IP surveillance system to secure students and teachers’ safety and protect school properties. In order to meet the National Curriculum requirements, ACTi’s megapixel camera and NVR software was chosen as the best unified solution to meet the image of “Tomorrow’s School”.

 

Solution
Firetech Ltd., as ACTi’s local partner, helped FTS for the security system design and installation. In order to provide a safe study environment, there will be 50 pieces of  ACM-1231 Megapixel Outdoor IP Bullet Camera and 10 pieces of ACM-3511 Megapixel IP Fixed Dome Camera to be installed all over the campus. The megapixel resolution and build-in IR LED provide clear and detail image even in night time. It is a perfect match to monitor the misbehavior of students at schools. The complete surveillance system is managed by ACTi NVR software. All the FTS schools’ surveillance system will be connected by ACTi CMS software from control center.

The installation and system management is very user friendly. FTS is very satisfied with the video quality as well. For future FTS schools, ACTi will keep providing the cost effective solution to create safe and secure school in Malta.
